I already own Volume 3 of this resource, so decided to purchase another volume so I can mix it up. Honestly, I feel that this approach to grammar works better than any I have tried. The kids like it, and the fact that it spirals helps with retention. It makes grammar meaningful in that it gets kids excited about writing.
My students enjoyed using a mentor text to learn about how to write sentences. They looked forward to the day when they could change the sentence to be their own.
