We created a special snowflake unit in January and used this reource as part of that unit. Students loved the story Snowflake Bentley and it was nice to have a seasonal mentor sentence to go along with our special activities.

Loved these activities and the students absolutely loved the Snowflake Bentley book. Some of the language in the book is advanced and the book is on the longer side but it was a great winter activity for my class.

We used this resource as a break from the regular reading book on the week back from winter break. My students LOVED reading about Snowflake Bentley and enjoyed the work that went along with the story. It was a good pairing with the book while focusing on the skills that we are trying to master!

My students LOVE all of our mentor sentences, this one did not disappoint. This product tied into our Snowflake Bentley unit extremely well. Students try to guess the mentor sentence while I'm reading the mentor text. Will use this product each time I teach the Snowflake Bentley unit.
I love this resource! It is super resourceful with nonfiction read aloud and being able to dive deeper into grammar, reading, and writing. This is super helpful for all types of learners. My students know exactly what is expected of them while doing this lesson every week. BEST RESOURCE EVER!
