Using mentor texts is one of the best ways to maximize your teaching time. You are able to teach multiple skills, subjects, and topics with just one book!

With this unit, you’ll be able to teach about character traits (internal and external), response to challenges, narrative writing, and past tense verbs–and even get in some social-emotional learning by discussing ways to face challenges.
