Knots on a Counting Rope

This unit goes with the book by Bill Martin Jr and John Archembault- Knots on a Counting Rope. It is a beautifully written story about a boy who was born blind, and learns to overcome his darkness.

This unit includes activities for inferences, context clues, figurative language (personification and similes), a writing starter for “the story of my name,” and a starter for a color poem – both include publishing paper.

I hope you will enjoy this unit!
