This is a great book to read to the class, and study for a social-emotional unit! I only spend about 10-15 minutes a day on a whole class mentor sentences and vocabulary lesson, so it takes about two weeks to complete the entire unit. But the students do a great job of remembering the book as we review at the beginning of each ELA lessons. I taught this unit in ELA along with the ClassDojo Growth Mindset series for SEL and the lessons lined up very well. I love all of ideas by jivey's mentor sentence and vivid vocabulary packets! Thank you ideas by jivey!
