Shark Week Blog Hop! - Ideas By Jivey: For the Classroom

Shark Week Blog Hop!

All teachers know that kids learn more when they’re excited and engaged. Today a team of bloggers come together to help your students take a BITE out of learning with a theme your students are sure to love!
My Shark Week freebie (available only through July 12!) comes from a set of my paired texts... MYSTERIES OF THE DEEP. Do you remember the last couple of years during Shark Week, there were "documentaries" about the prehistoric shark, the Megaladon? My kids LOVED to read about these sharks, as well as compare them to the Loch Ness Monster through my paired texts! You can grab this free pair of texts with multiple choice questions and a constructed response question to go with them below:

Now, be sure to go for a swim and visit Teaching in Blue Jeans!
Every blog in the Shark Week Blog Hop features a jawesome freebie for you and your students- but hurry! Shark Week only lasts until Sunday, July 12... Duh Dum... Duh Dum...

  6. These are such great passages! I used your Titanic paired passages this past school year and they were so engaging for my fourth graders (while still having that rigor needed to really close read!). Thanks so much for joining in our hop!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please, leave me some love! :)
