Monday Made-It! Table Caddies, Magnets, and Drawer Labels! - Ideas By Jivey: For the Classroom

Monday Made-It! Table Caddies, Magnets, and Drawer Labels!

I'm so excited to share some things I've made for Monday Made-It with Tara!

First up, my obsession interest with Instagram has given me some great ideas of things to do in my room, including this one!
I bought some table caddies this summer in the Dollar Spot at Target. I got some cute ribbon at Joann's, and my Team 1-4 labels came from... you guessed it... the Dots on Turquoise Decor Pack from Amelia!
Each table of desks has one, and it will be that table's responsibility to make sure all materials are in the caddy at the end of the day. Last year, I had a problem with my scissors and glue disappearing (I just had bins of them that the students could pull from if they needed it) so I'm hoping this method will help!

Next, I teased you a bit on Friday with my magnets in my displays- so here is how I made them!
Washi Tape, expressions tape, and colorful duct tape... (See all that chevron?! Love!!!)
Magnets, Tacky Glue, and wooden discs (all from Michael's)...
I covered the front of the discs with the tape, cutting off the "extra" around the edges...
Then I glued on the magnets!

I can reuse my numbered ones every year, and I THINK {hope} I can just pull the Washi Tape off with the names at the end of the year and put new pieces of washi tape for next year's names!

Finally, I saved the best for last. I was soooo excited about getting this awesome drawer cart from Sams for $25! Yes, $25!!!!
Then, reading some Monday Made-Its last week, I saw that Catherine from The Brown Bag Teacher had beat me to this deal... and had made hers SOOO CUTE!!!! Here is her adorable cart:
I immediately pinned the idea, and got to work on creating mine! Here is mine, with... yup... Dots on Turquoise backgrounds. :-P
The top 5 drawers will be used for math stations, and the bottom 5 drawers will be used for reading stations! Cute, right? :o)

Before you zoom off to read everyone else's Monday Made-Its, make sure to go enter Day 6 of the 8 Days of Giveaways on my Facebook page! :o) Today's giveaway features the one who got me obsessed with Washi Tape! Shame, shame... :-P

  3. washi hoarder as well! Great job! The cart looks great! I like the wood discs better than the stones. The stones fell off all last year for me I was so annoyed.

  7. Thank you for sharing your idea on the magnets I've been curious for awhile, and also thank you for the picture of writing goals. You got a lot of traffic to my store and I appreciate it greatly!

That cart is adorable. I think I need to stop looking at blogs/instagram/pinterest (let's be real, I won't) but I keep seeing so many great ideas that I want to do rather than plan. Haha!

    Great post friend!

  15. I love your supply caddies. I want to do that too but I am not having any luck finding new caddies (tossed the old ones out at the end of the year - big mistake). I am very jealous of your supply cart. Have a great first week of school!!! I am sure everything in your room looks amazing!
