Five For Friday is BAAAAACK!! - Ideas By Jivey: For the Classroom

Five For Friday is BAAAAACK!!

Loving the new button for Five for Friday!! And I am so excited it is back! I have missed Five for Friday, for sure. Here comes my FIVE- and a freebie, too! :)
I am running a FACEBOOK ONLY giveaway!! Make sure to head to my facebook page and enter DAILY- there is a new prize to win every day from some of my favorite bloggy buddies!
I really wish I could have made it more than 8 days, because I know so many of you, my BBBs, would have been glad to donate!! I just thought doing it the first week the kids come back to school would be a bad idea... I didn't really THINK about how much I have going on during the week BEFORE school with our pre-planning and getting my room ready... oops!
So yes, this week was the first week back for us teachers. I have been working extra hard in my room!! I pretty much got all my displays up! Here are just a few......
This is my positive behavior chart with adorable magnets I made (you'll see more of that on Monday!!) along with WBT rules. :)
Aaaaand my Writing Goals from Christy, also with adorable magnets I made (again, more on those on Monday!)
One of my displays I'm doing for math is with Collaboration Cuties' adorable problem solving posters as well as the types of problem solvers... which I just created this afternoon, so this picture doesn't show that. I also am thinking of moving the words "problem solving" so that "problem" is above the strategies and "solving" is below the types of problem solvers (so they aren't zig-zagged). What do you think?
So here's where your freebie comes in. :)

Once I get these bad boys printed and laminated, they will go on the bottom of the board. If you would like them, click on an above image to download them or click here! :)  The backgrounds are from the awesome Dots on Turquoise Set that I raved about yesterday, and the frames are from Lovin Lit!
So, TODAY was actually "Meet Your Teacher Day." Here is my room from the doorway:
Yes, I'm missing chairs. :( Apparently a stack of mine walked off.

Here was the "parent table" (along with the kids' nametags- I let them pick where they wanted to sit for the first day by putting their nametag on their desk).
And this is what I left on their desks!
I got the treat bag toppers from Bubbly Blonde's freebie on TPT!
Finally, I have to show off the first way I used my IKEA dollar frames this year! I posted them around the room for those that brought in their supplies today, telling them where to put the supplies that don't go in their desk! :)

Did you make it through this crazy long picture post? :) Thanks so much for peeking at my week! Don't forget to enter the Facebook giveaway every day!! :) :)

  5. LOVE your classroom and your awesome ideas! I'm still undecided about letting my kids decorate their writing notebooks. Maybe if I get a parent or two to help me cover all 48...it would make this decision easier! I love that I can see how your first month goes before I have to start my first day! :)
